Best Place to Send Bataan and Corregidor Memorablia and Documents

We've gotten a number of inquires from families or acquaintances of Bataan and Corregidor veterans asking us if we want their pictures, memorablia, veterans self-published memoirs, diaries or journals. Please note that we have given all our material, two score boxes of documents and records, to the MacArthur Memoiral Library and Archives in Norfolk Va. and strongly suggest you do the same. Aside from the National Archives, the MacArthur Archives was one of our best sources. It is a professionally run archive without any agenda or political bias, a place for serious scholarship with a head archivist, Jim Zobel, who has been careful to build a balanced and respected repository instead of curiosity collection. We are proud to have all our notes and records there. It is the only place in the country dedicated to the scholarship of that era in the Philippines and to compiling material on America's first major land battle in WWII and the country's worst military defeat. http://www.macarthurmemorial.org/archives.asp .
